About Nordic

Nordic Boats was established in 1962… thus began a passion for boat building and boat racing. Involved with the San Gabriel Boat and Ski Club, Nordic was building a reputation amongst the west coast boat racing community for building high performance race boats. Nordic Boats’ claim to fame was the introduction of the 16′ Nordic Long Deck… a flat bottom hull design introduced at the Los Angeles Boat Show in 1966. The boat was built well, had nice style and was easy to build in a small facility. After the LA Show the Nordic Boats decided to move the company to Lake Havasu City Arizona in the early 1970′s. Nordic Boats has since grown to be one of the Largest boat building facilities in Lake Havasu, a city built on the Colorado River and a community largely influenced by the boating lifestyle.
